Project Summary

The year 2020 was not an easy year for any of us, especially high school seniors around the world. COVID-19 swept us all away and North Lawndale College Prep (NLPC) had a vision for their school's yearbook.

The high school desired a year book cover design with imagery that represented the struggles of learning and teaching while simultaneously battling COVID-19 and other obstacles that year. 

I was given a rough sketch of the cover idea. The theme is "Phoenix Rise." The Phoenix in the school's logo, which represents strength and power, is rising above a fire that is burning up all of 2020's obstacles that seniors had to persevere through in order to achieve their end goal of graduation.
